Our Story

The Program

Overview

Over the course of four weeks, campers will journey together through the world of A Midsummer Night’s Dream while learning the building blocks of theatre performance.

Using age-appropriate activities and guided instruction, students will engage with the story through acting games, improvisation, movement, voice work, creative exercises, and rehearsal. Along the way, they will help shape a final performance that reflects their ensemble’s imagination, energy, and growth.

What Students Will Experience

Each week builds on the last, allowing campers to gain skills and confidence over time.

Week 1: Enter the World of the Play
Students are introduced to the story, characters, themes, and magical world of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Through games and creative exploration, they begin to connect to the play in a fun and accessible way.

Week 2: Build Character and Ensemble
Campers explore voice, movement, character choices, and relationships while strengthening their ensemble through collaboration and theatre exercises.

Week 3: Rehearse and Create
Students begin shaping scenes, transitions, and staging. They continue refining performance skills while contributing ideas that help bring the show to life.

Week 4: Put It All Together
The ensemble rehearses, polishes, and prepares for the final sharing or performance. Students celebrate all they have built together.
